Developed to measure the permeabiliity of stiffer soils, such as clays, the Rigid Wall Permeameter is very easy to set up and use. The specimen is cut to size using a stainless steel cutting ring which is included. The ends are trimmed square and the specimen and ring are placed between the two cell halves.
Constructed of a see-through acrylic top and an anodized aluminum base, the complete assembly is sealed with a simple O’ring. Porous stones contain the specimen and prevent migration of material. Water volume is measured on a graduated burette attached to the bottom valve. Also included is a 2 cc pipet and tubing.
